A feasibility study was conducted for Tacofino, a restaurant chain that began as Tofino’s famous food truck. The study involved the renovation of a two-story heritage building, which was to be converted into a commercial kitchen with an outdoor dining space. The design of the building was inspired by Tofino's history as a fishing village and includes a wrap-around aluminum deck that references the nearby boat docks. The building's design also drew inspiration from the local surf culture, taking on the feel of a vintage lifeguard tower.
